Getting Started with SDGL-SaaS

3.1 Creating an Account

  1. Navigate to https://platform.sdgl-impact.io and select Sign Up
  2. Provide:
    • Email address: Used for login and account recovery
    • Organization Name: Your company or institution name
    • Role: Select your primary role (e.g., Sustainability Manager, Analyst, Executive)
    • Country: Primary operating location
  3. Create a secure password
  4. Verify your email address via the confirmation link sent to your inbox
  5. Accept Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

Your account is now active and ready to use!

3.2 Organization Setup

After creating your personal account, set up your organization:

  1. Go to Settings → Organization
  2. Configure:
    • Organization Profile: Logo, description, industry sector, size
    • Address & Headquarters: Physical location information
    • Contact Information: Primary administrator contact details
    • Time Zone: For scheduling reports and alerts
  3. Add your organization’s sustainability Context:
    • Strategic focus areas
    • Primary SDGs of interest
    • Geographic regions of operation
    • Key stakeholder groups

3.3 User Roles & Permissions

Invite team members and assign roles:

RoleCapabilities
AdminFull access, user management, system configuration
EditorCreate and edit assessments, data entry, report generation
AnalystView, analyze data; generate insights; view-only report access
ViewerRead-only access; view dashboards and public reports
Data InputSubmit survey responses and limited data entry

To add users:

  1. Go to Settings → Team Members
  2. Click Invite Team Member
  3. Enter email address and select role
  4. Send invitation link
  5. User accepts and sets their password

3.4 Navigating the Dashboard

The main dashboard is your command center:

Top Navigation Bar:

  • Organization selector
  • Quick search
  • Notifications
  • Profile menu

Left Sidebar:

  • Dashboard - Your home analytics view
  • Assessments - Create and manage evaluations
  • Engagement - Surveys and stakeholder input
  • Planning - Action generators and tracking
  • Analytics - Deep-dive analysis and reporting
  • Integrations - Connect external systems
  • Settings - Administration and configuration

Main Content Area:

  • Customizable widgets
  • Key metrics and KPIs
  • Recent activity
  • Quick action buttons

3.5 First-Time Configuration Wizard

On your first login, the Setup Wizard guides you through essential configuration:

  1. Sustainability Context: Select dimensions most relevant to your work
  2. Key Indicators: Choose pre-built indicator sets or customize
  3. Team Roles: Configure which team members can do what
  4. Data Sources: Connect your first data source or start with sample data
  5. First Assessment: Create your baseline assessment

The wizard can be rerun anytime from Settings → Configuration.
